Wax Choices

Wick Wax

This is a great option for one or two small seals. this traditional method applies wax to the paper in small drops. Use a lighter to ignite the wick. When you are ready to seal, push lit end of wax stick into pool of wax and swirl in a circle.

Glue Gun Wax

This is the best option for doing lots of small or large seals. It is the easiest method available. Simply load a clean low temperature glue gun with a stick of the glue gun sealing wax. You will need to use a second stick to push the first one i. Plug in the glue gun, wait 5 minutes and presto, you are ready to start.

Wax Pastilles (Beads) & Accessories

This is a fun way to do one or many wax seals. You will need a metal spoon to apply the wax. You can melt one seal worth of wax in the spoon alone or you can pour more wax into the melting pot for bigger projects.

Gold Leaf

Take these small thin sheets of gold leafing and apply them to a hot pool of wax before you push in your seal. Once the wax is dry and hard, you will be able to rub off the excess leafing whic you can then use again. the foil creates a unique effect eact time and is really a stunning design element.

Highlighting Ink

We use metallic pigment ink pads to create a two tone highlight in the sealing wax. Simply push the seal into the ink pad. After you have melted some wax, push your seal into the wax and when it dries, you will have a two color impression. Note: We tried to use non-metallic pigment ink pads and found that the image we created was blotchy.
